McDonalds
1.2 Research Background
Employee turnover leads to organizational anarchy which affects the productivity of a
firm. According to Kiyani et al (2011) employees often switch from one job to another
when the amenities and opportunities in latter case surpass the past one. Different
factors lead to the employee dissatisfaction which ultimately results in employee
turnover for the firm. Workplace condition, growth opportunities, level of stress, cooperation
among the colleagues and other employees, financial rewards, etc. are
most crucial factors that affect the employee turnover at a workplace.
Due to the higher rate of employee turnover, a firm may face difficulty in conducting
their day to day operations. Besides this, Bratton and Gold (2012) claimed that,
higher rate of employee turnover may affect the profitability of the firm in the long
run. According to Dessler (2012) an organizational may also either lose their
competitive edge or fail to achieve their mission and objectives. In this research
