Acid & Base Titration Lab

Standardization is the process of determining the exact concentration of a solution;
usually a dilute solution made from a stock solution. In this lab, solutions will be
standardized through titration, in order to be used in next week’s lab.

This experiment uses titrations to find the exact molarity of a dilute acid and dilute
base solution. An indicator will be used to detect the endpoint. For the first part of the
lab, the molarity of NaOH will be found in one titration, and then in a second titration
the molarity of HCl will be found using the known molarity of NaOH.
