Mobile technology has changed the way consumers access information and entertainment. In 2014, it was
reported that 47.8% of smartphone users between the ages of 18 and 29 regularly use their smartphone to
watch movies or TV through a paid subscription service (such as Netflix or Hulu). The Pew Research
Organization undertook a study to see if this percentage has changed in the last year. A random sample of
279 smartphone users in this age range was selected, and it was found that 147 of those sampled use their
smartphone to watch movies or TV through a paid subscription service. Test the appropriate hypotheses
using a significance level of 0.10.
